The ACY 67 features a dynamic profile emphasized by a sleek new house and bridge design with soft, flowing lines. Designed to be both fast and beautiful, the 67 features twin 1,925 hp Caterpillar C32 ACERT diesels, and will carry 2,000 gallons of fuel. Hull construction utilized an ultra-precise, plasma-cut steel jig combined with ACY’s traditional composite cold-molded process. The redesigned house and bridge were fabricated out of state-of-the-art lightweight materials encased in molded fiberglass, giving the new ACY 67 a look that is distinctively different.

Using the same building techniques that have proven effective for Carolina builders since the mid-1900’s, BB Boats are double stick-framed, juniper-and-plywood planked. While they build boats the same way pioneers such as Warren O’Neal did, advances in technology are always welcome in their shop. Even with the changes in technology, the main goal of the BB Boats team is to stick with materials that have proven themselves in terms of both performance and cost.

It’s also fully tournament ready with interior rod storage, twin livewells and plenty of tackle storage. Like all Garlingtons, the 61 Express is built using all-composite construction, making it maintenance free.

“The new 45-foot Sportsfishermen is built for today’s anglers. It offers all of the comforts of home plus all the bells and whistles you would expect from a top-end fishing boat,” states Cindy Purcell, CEO of Huckins Yacht Corporation. “Fuel efficiency played a huge role in the custom design. Decades of industry experience gave us the knowledge to design a ‘big-boat’ build without the gas-guzzling side effects, which are prevalent in today’s larger fishing boats. Design aesthetics were also critical. Consideration was given to how the boat performs on the water, and in providing ultimate comfort and spaciousness, which bodes well for onboard entertainment,” adds Purcell.

As with any Huckins Yachts, custom requests are incorporated into the build, making this sportsfisherman a standout in its class. A two-stateroom, two-head boat with an expansive deckhouse and climate-controlled bridge offer premier relaxation opportunities. For simple maneuvering and intuitive boat control, a joy-stick system is used. To keep you cruising at 30+ knots, twin Cummins 425hp engines are the builder’s top choice.

Jarrrett Bay 84

The Doyle family currently fishes a 77-foot Jarrett Bay, so an upgrade to a larger boat from the same company came naturally. The new 84-foot, hull number 60 from Jarrett Bay, is set to be delivered mid-2016. Hull 60’s MTU 16V Series 2000 engines combine with a 4,000-gallon fuel capacity to put even the most remote billfish regions of the world right within reach. The boat was designed for maximum fishing efficiency, with a 260-square-foot cockpit and almost 22 feet of beam._ Blank Check_ will feature five staterooms, a full-beam galley, a pantry, six heads and a huge stand-up engine room.

Jim Smith 86

This new 86-footer is the second Jim Smith boat ordered by this particular owner, and 16-cylinder MTU power plants are expected to provide a top speed of around 45 knots, thanks in large part to a hull design from Donald L. Blount and Associates. The boat features a five-stateroom layout, with a huge galley and walk-in pantry including a laundry facility and additional refrigeration. The interior will come fully trimmed in teak with the traditional exterior teak bulkhead, tackle lockers, transom, toe rail, helm console, and bridge cap rail.

Makaira 68

Makaira Yachts are a semi-custom series built by Ocean Yachts. Steve French of Applied Concepts Unleashed designed the Waveform hull to be fast and to handle big seas. The Makaira hull sports resin infused with coring in the sides and bottom. Stringers are molded separately, then bonded into the hull with Plexus, which results in an extremely strong, consistent hull structure. The 68’s interior will feature four staterooms and five heads, and will be offered in one of two standard configurations. Owners who want more customization in their boat can also opt for a completely custom interior design.

Paul Mann 60

Hull number 138 from Paul Mann Boats is a 60-footer that will feature two staterooms and two heads, as well as a walk-in pantry with laundry facilities and storage for many items. Twin 1,550 hp 12-cylinder MAN diesels coupled to ZF transmissions and controls should provide excellent performance. The 60 will have a single 21 kW Onan generator, and the cockpit will feature custom mezzanine seating. A hydraulic bow thruster and windlass will make docking and anchoring a breeze, and cockpit rod lockers will keep your tackle close-by, yet secure. Palm Beach Towers is building the boat’s hardtop, and as with all Paul Mann Boats, the new 60 will feature exemplary fit and finish with custom joinery and countertops, in addition to teak decking, covering boards and coamings.

Tribute Performance Boats recently launched the 72-foot Donaken, a four-stateroom, three-head layout that also features a captain’s office with a tackle room. Power comes from twin 1,825 hp Caterpillar C32 ACERT diesels combined with Twin Disc QuickShift gears. Two 27.5 kW Onan generators provide all the electrical power, and a 2,400-gallon fuel capacity provides exceptional range. Donaken hit 43 knots on its initial sea trial, and it cruises at 35 knots at 1,850 rpm, showing 60 percent load while burning 100 gph. A Bausch-American custom tower will complete the package, along with IMS electronics and Canvas Designers interior and exterior soft-goods packages.

Viking 52 Sport Tower

The 52 ST utilizes Viking‘s proven 52 Convertible hull form with the addition of a new topside layout and elegant interior. The 142 square-foot cockpit boasts twin-mezzanine seating with a built-in freezer and stowage space, engine-room access, a step-box cooler, tackle stowage, recessed in-deck fish boxes and a walk-through transom door with a lift gate. There is gaff and tag-stick stowage, dockside water connections and raw-water washdown outlets forward of the gunwales. The three-stateroom, two-head layout features a master stateroom forward with a queen-size walk-around berth and a private head. Two additional staterooms share the second head. Construction methods include molded strakes for lift and planing efficiency, a resin-infused hull featuring a matrix of Aramid and E-glass hybrid knitted-fiberglass laminates, foam and end-grain balsa coring, custom-blended modified epoxy and polyester resins, and vacuum-bagged composite bulkheads throughout. Power options include twin diesels from MAN and Caterpillar.

Willis Marine 77

Willis Marine 77

Uno Mas, the new 77-footer from Willis Marine, is planned to be powered by twin MTU M96 engines. Performance should be extraordinary due to some new construction techniques used during this build. The extensive use of composite carbon fiber and epoxy in structures like the deck cap, cabin, bridge and console creates an extremely stiff, lightweight boat. The weight savings translate into higher performance and a lower fuel-burn rate. Willis is also exploring “wake-adapted” running gear. This technology runs numerous computer analyses of the exact hull model and determines the optimum flow of water across the running gear throughout the rpm range. The struts, rudders and wheels are then shaped to best accommodate this flow, resulting in a quiet, fast and efficient ride.

Winter Custom Yachts 60

The new 60-footer from Winter Custom Yachts was designed for a family who enjoys traveling in pursuit of billfish, as well as entertaining. A large galley features ample seating for eating family-style meals, and the sleeping quarters comfortably accommodate eight adults. Rawhide is powered by a pair of Caterpillar’s 1,600 hp C32 engines for optimal performance, and propeller tunnels reduce draft. The equipment and engines were designed to offer easy access for routine maintenance and repair. The boat features three private staterooms and two heads, and the master offers an enlarged queen-size bed with his-and-her storage and private head access. In the forward stateroom, a queen-size upper bunk combines with a single lower bunk. Additional rod and tackle storage is found throughout. The hallway stateroom has oversized bunk beds with storage located at both ends. The cockpit features mezzanine seating with expansive refrigerator and freezer boxes, and a custom tower includes a molded-in, drop-down radio box, LED running lights and dome lights. The toe rail, covering boards, bridge and cockpit decks are all teak, and there’s a custom stainless bow pulpit with a windlass.
