Last Saturday, July 27, three days after the full moon there was an informal swordfish tournament held out of Hillsboro Inlet in Pompano Beach. Thirty-three boats participated and an amazing 45 swordfish were caught, most of them being released. The tournament had a 56'' minimum size which is equal to about an 80 lb swordfish. Eight fish were weighed in with the top three being 164 lb, 119 lb and 104 lb.One boat the Kryptonite caught 5 fish releasing 4 of them.
