Record holding light-tackle angler Enrico Capozzi recently landed another potential record marlin on ultra-light tackle. This time, while fishing with Capt. John LaGrone aboard the Permit in Guanacaste, Costa Rica, Capozzi managed to land a 169.8-pound Pacific blue marlin on 6-pound test. If approved, he will beat the current record by almost 30 pounds. Capozzi currently holds several light-tackle records, including a 735-pound black on 6-pound test set last year in Australia, the men's 2- and 4-pound black marlin records and the 6-pound striped marlin record. In a related note, LaGrone has since gotten a new ride. He is scheduled to take his new boat, the Spirit of Pilar (formerly the Toplesss), on a Pacific tour through Panama, Costa Rica and Mexico.
